I was supposed to write this post earlier, but I was rather caught up with different things. So, before this day ends I just want to dedicate this to one of my oldest friends.
Happy 19th Birthday, Donna Lynne Abad Mendoza!
We've known each other for about 19 years; which is basically our whole life. Wow, that's such a long time. Hehe. Even though we barely talked to each other before we hit our teen ages, I guess because we always hung out with different crowds - you were more of a dancer and I was more of the musician. Even if our parents would always go to our houses and we'd tag along, we'd always find such difficulty trying to talk to each other. Haha such awkward turtles forever! But, looking back at those years, I'm still grateful. Because I still got to know you, and that I was introduced to such a wonderful person at such a young age! :)
I guess our friendship 'bloomed' when we went for WGAT last year. Even if it's only been a year? ish? since that has happened, we've come such a long way. We've been through many things with each other, especially in service. And for that, I'd like to thank you. You've always been an inspiration to me to become a better person, and you've always motivated me to improve and nurture my God-given talents. Also, it's crazy how we always have similar ways of thinking, namely in the lines of style. HAHA omgosh, twinsies for life, yo! I still find it crazy how we dress alike, btw! I'd also like to thank you for always supporting me whenever I had some crazy idea in mind, you'd always find ways to help me through it. For helping, serving and just being there for me whenever we would dance, or play in the band. Thank you so much! :) But, I'd like to apologise as well. For the times that I've been such a bum and been stubborn with some tasks that I've been handed, you've always stood by my side. For being jealous of you, because you just have this particular aura that I always admired. You're just such a beautiful person, inside out; I don't even think you're aware of that. And I guess that's what's so great about you. You're so humble. Praise God for that, CP! :D
For the coming years, I just hope we'll still be as strong as friends as we are right now, hopefully even stronger! Now that we're in the same university, I hope we would become sources of inspiration and motivation for one another to do better in our studies. (Remember our 'Over-Achiever's' list? I still have it saved on my phone, and I do hope we get to strike off things from it! Hehe) Another thing, I hope that we get to go to places together! We've got the Philippines and Singapore down, I wonder where we're gonna be next!
I just pray for your well-being that you will always be the same, beautiful woman I know that you are; that we ALL know that you are! Or probably even better? There's always place for improvement for everything in life, right? :) And even though I know you'll never see this, and I'm typing out like you will.. I just hope that you will always be assured that I'll always be here for you, like how you've always been there for me! I love you, CP! Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to not only me, but to a lot of people! Keep smiling! :)
